Frequently Asked Questions

We consider ourselves specialists at helping first timers navigate the intake process with ease.  All you need to do is fill out the new client intake form: HERE.  We will send the link for you to complete our intake paperwork and an additional one if we are filing insurance claims for you.  Once those accounts are set up, our Intake Coordinator will review your client history form and reach out with some suggestions about which therapists might be the best fit along with their availability.  Once we get you added to a therapist's schedule, the therapist will get you set up for ongoing sessions.


Sessions are typically 55-minutes.  If you are a self-pay client and your therapist has availability we can schedule double-sessions or multiple sessions in a week.  For insurance clients, we are only able to file one claim per day for a 55-minute session but we can schedule an additional session in the same week on a different day, if needed.


Frequency of sessions is decided between the therapist and client and is based on multiple factors.  Your therapist will make a recommendation of how often they feel is appropriate based on your treatment needs.  Factors like finances and limited schedules are always taken into consideration.  Many clients start by coming weekly to expedite the information gathering and treatment planning stages and then spread sessions out to bi-weekly or less depending on how much time between sessions is needed to practice new skills, etc.  Prior to terminating treatment, many clients will have a "maintenance period" where they attend sessions monthly or even less while they adjust to the changes they have made.
